My wedding Invitations
I wanted to make all of my wedding invitations, but wanted to find a satmp with a gorgeous dress. Took hours & hours of searching - & realistically - what I wanted to do (with sparkly bits etc) would have taken ages. So I went for this cute cake stamp with little hearts. My colour scheme is Cosmopolitan (aka pink) & Chocolate (aka brown). So I found out some pretty spotty papers in my stash for the background. I cheated a bit with the stamp as I used ATC blanks.....perfect size.....and saves me cutting straight LOL. My sister (cheif bridesmaid) helped as well - I must mention (or he will kill me) that she couloured in all of the hearts all by herself LOL. Anyway - here is the finished product - which I'm quite pleased with.

smelli for 121 swop
I came up with an idea back in summer last year. As most people know ATCs are a specific size. As are Moos, Skinny's & whatever other swop ideas there are. So when a few of us ATCers met (AngyB, Minimaker, Breken & hostess Konnie Kards) I chatted about coming up with a new shape to play & swop with. I said I wanted to call it a smelli so I can spread the smelli love LOL.
Then when we met up with the docraft ATCers in Luffy 08, we chatted with a coup[le of other people about the idea. I think it may have been AngyB who suggested a protractor. It's a nice shape, easy to work with, and easy to make.
At christmas I let everyone know my plans (sort of an experiment) for my next hosted swop idea. I have put people into groups of 5 and asked them all to choose a theme each. Then every person makes one smelli of each theme. Then they send it to the person that choose the theme - so if they should end up with 4 smellis (5 if they make 1 of their own theme). They can then bind all the smelli segments together to make a smelli book.
The group idea was just a way of building up a collection of smellis. People can do the same as an ATC (ie RAKs, BRAKs, 121s)
The second part of my experimental smelli swop will hopefully start after this hosted swop has finished (end of Feb). I am hoping that the smelli friends will host this swop on other forums to see if it takes off over the UK as a new swop craze - or even the world :0)..........................we'll see. Just remember it was on docrafts first LOL xx

Life on Mars (Rak for Sian)
This is a hosted swop by Wyvernsian. You have to make 3 ATC's each depicting a colour of the traffic lights. It also has to include a piece of metal, some wire and some plastic.
With these I had some metal circles & heated up sum friendly plastic to put inside. I then took some copper wire and swirled them around and attatched to them. At 1st I wasn't sure where I was going with this - I was just concerned about getting the right colours and the required elements for the brief.
But looking at my new little friends I thought they could be aliens - so decided to go with a planet theme.
I used a lot of black card, with sparkley shiney paints (I forget the make of them now - but they are not the expensive ones LOL) & inks. For 'The Red Planet' the planet is heat embossed. The for the glitter sun - I used holographic glitter.
I then made 1 up with all 3 little friends having fun on Mars as RAK for the host.
I still have glitter in my hair, up my nose, and all over the place. My poor dog is probably glittered too LOL - but it was fun making them!

Nappy Cake (wrapped)
One of the Junior doctors has just had a baby girl - Ellie Rose. I wanted to do something nice for the new parents and goggled nappy cakes. There is a link on U-tube that shows you how to make them. So with the help from my 8 year old sister (Bethany) We made this nappy cake - my 1st 1!! I am quite pleased with the result.
They are clean nappies LOL. Just rolled up and placed into the shape of a cake. Then Muslin squares used for the outside to hold in place & for colour. I put a little teddy bear on top to finish off.
I have another friend who is pregnant - but she wants a suprise :0(. I need someone to hav a boy so I can make a blue one LOL.

The 1st bead to come off the mandrel
For a present for mine and my parteners 10 Year anniversary together he brought me a new craft toy. As I am very much into jewellery making and that was my 1st love (have been doing it about 8/9 years) I thought 'OMG I spend a fortune on beads!'. So requested a kit to make glass beads. It arrived yesterday and couldn't wait to play with it!!! The gas torch is a bit scary and I only burnt myself once (but I expected that as I'm accident prone!). The kit came with a book that was easy to follow, and tells you which glass are not compatable. I also found that the clear glass was much easier to work with than the opaque glass - which is why my beads are a bit wonky atm. Anyway here are the photo's of me making some glass beads and the 1st batch - think I need to practice a bit more though LOL.
